Day or Night: How It Works

Are you really open 24/7?

Yes. Call any hour and you'll speak to a licensed plumber, not an answering machine, any day on the calendar, holidays and weekends alike. Callers get the same real person on the line late at night as they do mid-afternoon, ready to talk through what's happening and get someone moving.

What happens after I call?

A licensed plumber talks through what's going on, whether that's a burst pipe, a blocked drain or no hot water. We work out what's needed and get someone dispatched to you. Once a plumber reaches you, they assess the problem in front of you and set a fixed price before any work starts, so nothing on the invoice comes as a surprise.

How does the callback form work?

Fill in the form and we call back fast, day or night, whichever suits your emergency. Tell us what's happening in a couple of lines and a licensed plumber rings you directly to talk it through and arrange a time. It's built for the moments when picking up the phone isn't practical straight away.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Burst pipes, sewage rising back up through the drains, a sudden gas smell, no hot water and major leaks all count. If water's pooling where it shouldn't, or you can smell gas, that's urgent. Smaller drips and slow drains normally hold until a scheduled visit, but call (02) 9138 6505 if you're not sure either way.

The Matraville Side of Things

Why do Matraville's older homes keep us busy?

Plenty of Matraville's homes date to the post-war years, and hot water systems in that stock are often well past their service life, which means sudden failures are common. The same era of housing tends to run older pipework, so ageing joints and fittings are a regular call-out for our team.

How local are you to Matraville, really?

We're regularly on Bunnerong Road, past Southpoint Shopping Centre opposite Heffron Park and on toward the Matraville Medical Complex further along. It's the kind of run where the same streets come up again and again, so the housing stock and the common problems are familiar before we even arrive.

Do you work on Matraville's apartments and strata blocks?

Yes. Matraville has a genuine mix of detached houses, semis and unit blocks, and we work on all of it. Strata jobs come with their own access and shut-off considerations, and we talk to owners or managers the same way we'd talk to any homeowner, plainly and without jargon.

Which suburbs do you service?

Our regular run covers Maroubra, Malabar, Eastgardens, Coogee and Kensington. If you're just outside that list, call (02) 9138 6505 and ask. Chances are your street is still on our patch, and we'll say so straight away rather than leave you guessing.

Licensed, Insured and Accountable

Who's responsible for the drain from my house to the street?

Generally, everything from your boundary in is on you as the homeowner, and the section running under the street is the water authority's territory. If a blockage sits on your side, that's exactly the kind of call-out we handle, and a quick look on-site tells us which side it's on.

What is safe to try myself before you arrive?

For a leak, turn off the water at the meter and mop up what you can. For a gas smell, leave the property and call from outside, and do not flick switches or light flames on your way out. Beyond that, wait for a licensed plumber rather than opening anything up yourself.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We hold NSW Plumbing Licence #275278C and every job is carried out licensed and insured, gas work included. You're welcome to ask for the licence details on the day, and we're happy to walk you through exactly what that licence covers.

Can I check your plumbing licence?

Yes. Our licence is #275278C, and you're welcome to check it against the NSW public licensing register yourself if you'd like the extra confidence. We'd rather you ask than wonder, and a licensed plumber on-site can also show you the details directly.

Money, Fixed Prices and the $0 Call Out Fee

Do nights, weekends or public holidays cost extra?

No. We don't charge by the hour and we don't load the price for the time of day.

A burst pipe late at night gets the same fixed-price approach as a leaking tap on a weekday afternoon, agreed with you before any work starts, whatever day it lands on.

Is the quote really free?

Yes, every quote is free and the call-out itself is $0.

A plumber inspects the job, explains what's wrong and what it'll take to fix it, and there's no charge for that visit whether or not you go ahead with the work.

Do prices change once the job starts?

No, prices don't change once we're underway.

The price we quote is the price you pay. No exceptions.

If something shifts once we're into the job, we stop, explain it, and agree any new figure with you before we carry on, not after.

How can I pay?

We take the usual electronic payment methods on the day, and the exact price is locked in before we start any work, so there's nothing unexpected when the job's done.

Ask the plumber on-site if you need a particular payment method and we'll sort it out.
